Meet the Nannies

Annie (Owner)

From a young age, my love for animals has been a constant in my life. I founded The Prefurred Pet Nanny to ensure that, as a fellow dog mom, my beloved pup—and the pups of others—can thrive in a safe and caring environment. I believe that people and their furry friends are woven into one beautiful journey together.

With extensive experience running businesses for both large and small companies, I have channeled my expertise into The Prefurred Pet Nanny. This venture represents the perfect blend of my corporate knowledge and my passion for social work. My mission is to provide you with peace of mind when you are away, and that’s why I stand by my motto: "Where pets are treated like family." I care for my furry clients with the same unconditional love I have for my own dog.

On top of that, I’ve completed a fun and informative ten-week dog training course and even earned a certificate in animal first aid. These experiences have only deepened my dedication to keeping your pets happy and healthy. I can’t wait to hear all about your journey with your fur babies!

It’s so nice to meet you! My name is Allison. I’ve dedicated the last 10 years to working in animal care. Starting from volunteer work at an animal shelter, providing in-home care, and managing a dog daycare. I have a wide range of experience with different breeds and temperaments. I understand how important it is to recognize each animal's behaviors and needs. I take pride in ensuring that every animal in my care feels comfortable, safe, and happy.

If you're looking for someone who is not only experienced but truly passionate about animals, I'd love to connect and be a part of your pet's care routine!

Emma B.

Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember—some of my earliest family photos are of me napping with our family dog, Gus, or playing on the floor with our cats. I’ve always loved that animals are exactly themselves and truly our best friends. After earning my degree in Early Childhood Education and working in teaching, I eventually followed my heart back to my first love: animal care. A few health challenges in my late 20s inspired me to make big life changes, and I transitioned into pet care full time.

From starting as an in-home pet care provider to becoming a Master Trainer at Zoom Room in Plymouth, I’ve gained invaluable experience helping pets and their owners thrive. I’m passionate about creating strong bonds, offering reliable support, and making sure every animal in my care feels safe, happy, and understood.

When I’m not working with dogs, you’ll likely find me hiking with my pup, Carmela, paddleboarding, painting, drawing, reading, or expanding my knowledge of animal behavior and therapy dog training. I treat every pet like my own, so you can have complete peace of mind when they’re with me.

Growing up, I was surrounded by animals, and when I wasn’t, I definitely gravitated towards them. We had pets from dogs, cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, bunnies, to even birds like parakeets/budgies, geese, and chickens. When I was younger, I would dog walk and pet/babysit for many families in my neighborhood. I was a good student, but English was not my strongest suit, yet after school, I loved making my own research papers on whatever animals fascinated me that week (which I still do time to time). I truly do believe anyone can be your guru and learn to offer care as fulfilling as the support from your cute companions can be. I’m very passionate about gaining a thorough understanding, creating strong bonds, being dependable, offering good communication, and paying attention with great detail to help create a safe, respectful, nurturing, and overall positive experience for both your pets and family. With me, I ensure you’ll have peace of mind and your baby will have a good time!

A little more about me: I like to consider myself a jack of all trades. Outside of work, you might find me hiking with my cockatiel Valentine, longboarding, working on cars, painting/drawing, making jewelry, reading/writing, making music (playing guitar & ukulele), knitting/crocheting, gardening, and practicing apothecary. I’m huge on gift-giving, so if I work with you often, there’s a good chance I’ll have a little something for you. 🙂

Hello! I am excited to join the team and spend time with pets! I love all animals of all breeds, ages, and sizes! I have two dogs of my own: a small Yorkie mix and a 13-year-old medium-sized mutt! Even though I have small dogs, I love larger dogs too and hope to own a Pitbull and/or Chocolate Lab someday! I look forward to meeting everyone and making sure your pets stay pampered!

My entire life has revolved around animals. I grew up with 4 cats in the house and friends who had cats and dogs. I love animals and hope to have many throughout my adulthood. I am a student at Crown College, where I am getting my bachelor’s in Social Studies education. I am a huge nerd. I love board games, history, movies, and reading.

I love animals dearly, and my goal is to care for them as best as I can. This is my first professional job taking care of animals, but I have done it all my life, and I am excited to do it again.

When I am not working, I am hanging out with my friends from school, trying a new hobby, reading, or visiting my family in Wisconsin. I absolutely love taking care of pets, and I will make sure they are loved and cared for when they are under my care.
